Content for Shopware and Shopify stores.

In a store, a salesperson answers your customers' questions. Online, the copy does.

Your best salesperson has the evening off. Your online store doesn't. When a customer wants to know at 10 p.m. which model is right for them, the copy on the page decides whether they buy from you or keep searching.

Category, buying-guide and service copy that answers exactly these questions. Written by an in-house editorial team, with the expertise from your own company. And measured by what ends up in the cart, not by word count.

Why customers don't buy

Your customers don't just buy a product. They buy the certainty of having made the right choice.

Customers often leave a store not because they dislike the product, but because a question remains open:

01

Will the size fit?

02

Is the cheaper model good enough?

03

Will it work with the accessories they already have?

04

Will it arrive before the weekend?

In a specialist store, a salesperson answers these questions in two sentences. In an online store, the customer is left alone with them. If they can't find the answer, they look elsewhere: on Google, on a comparison site, in ChatGPT. And they often buy where they found it.

That is why, for us, content is not a blogging program or mandatory copy for search engines. It is the part of your store that advises customers when nobody from your team is there. And it is also what Google and AI systems need to recognize your page as a relevant answer in the first place.

Others write copy. We take responsibility for what it achieves.

Editorial, SEO, GEO, store development and measurement work together in one in-house team. That is why our work doesn't end when a text is delivered, but only once it works properly in your store and shows measurable results. With us, good copy never fails because of a template that hides it.

Check it yourself

Three tests you can run today in five minutes.

You don't have to take our word for it. These three tests show you where your store's content stands.

01Test 1

The category test

How it works: Open your highest-revenue category on your smartphone. Look for an answer to the question “Which model suits which purpose?” without clicking on a single product. What it means: If all you find is a block of text below the product list, or nothing at all, your customer has to compare on their own. This is exactly where a store loses customers looking for advice to the retailer who offers it.

02Test 2

The customer-service test

How it works: Ask your customer service team for the five questions they hear most often. Check whether the answers are on the relevant category and service pages. What it means: Every question that comes in by email or phone is one other customers have too. They just didn't ask. They bought elsewhere.

03Test 3

The AI test

How it works: Ask ChatGPT or Perplexity the way your customers would: “Which [product] is suitable for [use case], and where can I buy it?” What it means: If you're not mentioned, or price, range and delivery time are wrong, there can be several reasons. One of them is in your hands: missing, unclear or hard-to-access information in your store. We check what can actually be improved there.

You don't have to rework your entire store. It often pays to start with a few high-revenue categories.

What better buying advice is worth

Small improvement, big impact. Do the math yourself.

Content works in two ways: more people find your page, and more of them buy. Most people underestimate the second effect because it looks small at first glance. Calculate with your own numbers for your most important category.

Your current revenue from this page: €14,400 per month

What if better buying advice raised this category's conversion rate by 10%?

Today: 1.5% · After: 1.65%

Additional revenue: + €1,440 per month · + €17,280 per year

And at 20%?

Today: 1.5% · After: 1.8%

Additional revenue: + €2,880 per month · + €34,560 per year

Example calculation, not a forecast. Additional visitors from better rankings are not included. And it's usually not one category, but ten.

What matters is not what a text costs. What matters is how much revenue potential on your most important pages is currently left untapped.

From client projects

What happens when categories and guides work together.

The calculator shows what's possible. These two projects show how we go about it.

Lighting store: winning customers in the research phase.

The situation: The store was losing visibility. Several categories competed for the same keywords. People researching before a purchase found their answers elsewhere.

What we understood: Lighting is rarely an impulse buy. Customers research beforehand, often for weeks. Whoever answers their questions in this phase accompanies them all the way to the purchase. Whoever doesn't leaves them to Google Ads, and often to another store.

What we did: Reorganized the categories and added new ones together with the client. Wrote around 100 category texts as buying advice. Plus a buying-guide magazine that answers questions about lighting design and leads from every article directly to the matching category and the cart.

What changed: The magazine reaches almost 2,000 readers a month on average, weeks before they buy. These customers don't arrive via a paid ad, but via the store's own answers. For buying keywords such as “außenwandleuchten weiß” (white outdoor wall lights), the store ranks #1.

Specialist retailer for amplifier parts: how a magazine lifts the categories.

The situation: The store was barely being found, with no sign of improvement.

What we understood: The customers are tech-savvy musicians. They don't search for product names but for solutions: the amp is humming, the tubes need changing.

What we did: Category copy with a clear keyword strategy and internal linking. Plus a magazine that answers exactly these questions and leads to the matching spare parts each time.

What changed: The store is found considerably more often today. As the magazine grew, the high-revenue categories gained visibility too.

We make deliberate use of the research phase.

Buying guides answer the questions before the purchase, categories the questions during it. That way the customer arrives in your cart with their answers, instead of landing in another store via an ad.

Services by impact

Not every page needs copy. The right pages need good copy.

Before we write a single line, we clarify where content has the biggest commercial lever in your store. Usually where purchase decisions are made. We'll also tell you where a text isn't worth it.

Category pages
This is where it's decided whether a searcher lands in your range and finds the right product. We write introductions, selection guides and question blocks that help people buy.
Buying guides and advice
For questions customers ask before they know a product name. Every guide leads to the matching category.
Service content
Shipping, delivery time, returns, assembly, care. It removes the last doubts before purchase, and AI assistants pick up exactly this information.
Brand and topic pages
For customers searching by brand or use case rather than for a product.
Landing pages for Google Ads
How well the landing page matches the search query feeds into the Quality Score and therefore your cost per click. We write them together with our SEA team. More about Google Ads

Plus: editorial planning based on revenue potential, so buying guides don't just bring visitors but lead them to your products. And maintenance of existing content: whatever doesn't sell, or competes with another page for the same keyword, is reworked, merged or removed.

From filler copy to buying advice.

Before

“Discover our wide selection of high-quality hiking boots for women and men. Find hiking boots from well-known brands at great prices.”

After

“For trails and day hikes, a light mid-cut boot with a flexible sole is enough. If you're heading into alpine terrain with a pack, you need a high shaft and a stiff sole that grips on scree. Unsure about size? Buy hiking boots half a size to a full size larger than your everyday shoes, so your toes don't hit the front on the way down.”

The first text describes the store. The second advises the customer. Illustrative example.

Sales psychology you can see in the copy.

Good category copy answers the customer's doubts before they voice them: Is this right for me? Is the cheaper model good enough? What if I choose wrong? Recognizing such doubts and resolving them in the customer's own language is sales psychology and sales linguistics.

Managing director Zoran Artmagic is certified in this by TÜV Rheinland and is a UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience. Because he knows how much revenue hangs on an unanswered doubt, this is part of arboro's marketing DNA: in every text, we pay particular attention to which purchase doubts it removes and whether it speaks your customers' language.

Where the substance comes from

The knowledge that makes your store special is usually written down nowhere.

Your purchasing team knows why you carry exactly these brands. Your customer service knows the questions that come back every week. Your product managers know which model suits which use and what they would advise against. This knowledge is what sets you apart from every other retailer selling the same items. Yet hardly any of it appears on the page.

We collect it: in short conversations with your experts, from service requests, return reasons, reviews and the search terms in your store search. The result is copy that only your store can write. This is exactly what Google's assessment of experience, expertise and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) looks for. And it's the reason an AI system should prefer your page over any other.

Your effort: one kickoff call, then short follow-up questions via Teams or email.

We work with AI. We don't publish unreviewed AI copy.

In our editorial team, AI is a tool for research, outlining and large volumes of product data. We put the time saved into what it can't do: working in your expertise, checking claims, hitting your tone. Every text we deliver is edited and reviewed by a person who stands behind it. Otherwise, a wrong care instruction costs you returns.

Efficiency through AI. Responsibility with people.

What every text goes through before it goes live.

01

One job per page

Search intent and keyword mapping come first, so no two pages compete for the same keyword.

02

Expertise from your company

Claims come from conversations with your experts, service requests, return reasons and reviews.

03

Reviewed by a person

Facts, tone and clarity. An editor stands behind every text.

04

Your approval

No text goes live without your approval.

05

Linked and technically checked

Guides lead to the category. The text is in the HTML, the page is indexable, FAQs are marked up as structured data.

06

Measured from day one

Baseline recorded in Search Console and GA4, so you can see what the text achieves.

One team

Writing a text is half the work. The other half is getting it into the store.

Whether a text works also depends on how it arrives in your store. Is the page indexed? Is important content directly accessible in the HTML? Are product data and FAQs marked up as structured data? Do guides and categories link to each other?

The work usually ends with delivery. Whether and how the text arrives in your store is up to you.

A typical case.

The editorial team reworks a high-revenue category. During implementation it turns out that the template outputs the text below the product list and the FAQ without structured data. With separate providers, that becomes a ticket, a quote and a wait. With us, the developer adjusts the template on the staging system, the SEO team checks it, and the text goes live.

You don't have to coordinate between a copywriting agency, an SEO agency and a store agency. If you work with your own store agency, it receives ready-to-implement specifications from us.

GEO

Your products also need to convince where customers ask an AI.

More and more customers ask ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini or Google which product suits them, and get a ready-made answer with a few recommendations. Whether your store appears in it can't be guaranteed. But the prerequisites can be improved in a targeted way, and most stores have barely put them in place so far.

Three things make the difference:

01

Answers instead of advertising language

AI systems draw on content that answers a question clearly and verifiably. Instead of: “High-quality backpack for every adventure.” Better: “28 liters, 1.1 kg, back length adjustable from 42 to 52 cm. For day hikes and hut tours with one overnight stay.”

02

Reliably accessible

Content that only becomes visible via JavaScript or is blocked for relevant crawlers is harder to capture. Our developers check that the important information is reliably accessible.

03

The same information everywhere

Price, delivery time and product range must match in your store, your product feed and directories. Contradictions lead an assistant to misrepresent you or prefer another source.

That's why we write every text for search engines and AI assistants at the same time. GEO costs nothing extra with us. It's part of the work.

Working together

How we work together. And how you see what it delivers.

01free

Free initial call

You describe where you stand. We tell you openly whether and where we see potential, and which route fits: a single content package or the full collaboration.

02free for long-term collaboration

SEO check-up

If a long-term collaboration in which we take responsibility for SEO, GEO and content is an option, we invest around eight hours of our senior experts' time in a thorough analysis. Free for you, with a focus on content: which pages have potential, where gaps cost revenue, what the technology is holding back. For individual content packages, we clarify scope and priorities directly in the initial call.

03Step 3

Gather knowledge and prioritize

Kickoff call with your experts, followed by a plan that starts with the biggest lever.

04Step 4

Write, approve, publish

Our editorial team writes, you approve, our team enters the copy into your store. If the template needs adjustments, our developers make them. Or your agency receives ready-to-implement specifications.

05Step 5

Measure and refine

For every reworked page, we record the baseline: visibility in Search Console, on-page behavior, conversions and revenue in GA4, referrals from AI assistants. Whatever doesn't perform is reworked, merged or removed. You receive a monthly report with a log of work done, and a monthly Teams call on request.

For context.

New content usually takes a few weeks to months on Google. Pages that already rank and are reworked often respond faster. That's why we usually start there.

Our recommendation, frankly.

Individual packages are a good way to start and make sense if your technology is clean and you can measure the impact of the copy yourself. We see the biggest lever when copy, technology and measurement share one responsibility. Which route makes commercial sense for your store, we'll tell you in the initial call.

Your content and SEO team

Who works on your copy.

At arboro, only permanently employed senior experts work for you. Our guiding principle: a professional home for experts. It describes who we look for and why these people stay. For you, this means experience that pays off from day one instead of onboarding at your expense. And specialists who take your store seriously and take responsibility for the result.

Editorial and SEO/GEO sit in one team. Whoever writes your copy talks directly to those who implement and measure it.

What connects this team is curiosity. It tests new tools, follows how Google and AI systems evaluate content, and continuously brings that knowledge into your copy. So your content is created to today's standards, not those of three years ago.

Imagine your most important category a year from now.

A customer lands on it and finds out in two paragraphs which model suits them. The questions that used to come in by email are answered on the page. Your customer service has more time for the difficult cases. When someone asks ChatGPT about your range, price and delivery time are correct. And your monthly report shows how much each page contributes.

That's not a promise. It's what we work toward.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about content for online stores.

If we take responsibility for your store's SEO, GEO and content, packages start at €1,999 per month excl. VAT, with a 12-month term. We need the twelve months because copy, technology and AI visibility build on each other and only reach their full effect together.

Individual content packages, for example for your most important categories or a buying-guide section, are calculated by scope in the initial call.

Pricing models at a glance:

  • Full responsibility for SEO, GEO & content:

    • From €1,999 per month excl. VAT with a 12-month term. In steps of €1,000 depending on range breadth, number of countries and volume of copy.

  • Individual content packages:

    • We agree scope and number of pages in the initial call, as a fixed price or hour budget.

  • Transparent to the minute:

    • Every minute is recorded and documented in the activity report, at a uniform rate of €150 excl. VAT.

Predictable content costs with substance. You don't invest in volumes of text, but in copy that sells and is found in search engines and AI answers alike.

Yes. You can book category texts or blog and buying-guide packages at any time without an SEO/GEO package. This works well if your marketing team or a partner agency already steers the strategy. We agree scope, volume of copy and budget in the initial call.

How a content-only package works:

  • Copy based on search intent:

    • We write for core categories, buying-guide sections or shopping advisors, structured around what your customers search for and ask.

  • Publishing as you prefer:

    • You receive the copy as a document, or our team enters it, including formatting, links and meta data, directly into Shopware or Shopify.

  • Template adjustments as needed:

    • If the display requires changes in the theme, for example FAQ sections with structured data, our developers implement them via store support. Or your agency receives a ready-made ticket.

Targeted editorial relief without a full mandate, with the same editorial team and the same review as in ongoing collaboration.

We use AI for research, outlining and product data. Writing, checking and approval are done by people. Unchecked AI text sounds interchangeable and quickly contains false information, for example on dimensions or compatibilities. Google favors content with real experience and expertise (E-E-A-T), and that is exactly what no language model delivers.

How our editorial team works with AI:

  • AI as a tool:

    • It helps structure product data, cluster search intents and draft outlines and FAQ structures.

  • People write:

    • Our editors write out every text, with your industry's terminology and in your brand's tone.

  • Facts are checked:

    • We check specifications, dimensions, compatibilities and legal wording by hand. No text goes live without editorial review.

Efficiency through AI, responsibility with people. You get copy your customers enjoy reading, that Google trusts and that AI answer engines can cite.

For individual texts, you can. An AI writes a decent category text in seconds. What it lacks, however, decides between purchase and bounce: the expertise from your company, the questions your customers ask your support team, and the experience of which product suits which use. Without that, you get the same text your competitor gets from the same tool.

Where pure ChatGPT copy reaches its limits:

  • No knowledge advantage:

    • The language model knows general training data, but not the fit experience, material advantages and customer objections from your everyday business.

  • No implementation:

    • A text document doesn't bring rankings. The copy has to be placed cleanly in the template, linked to the right categories and marked up with structured data.

  • No measurement:

    • Only clean tracking shows whether a text sells. Without measurement, you don't know which copy works and which just fills space.

We use AI ourselves, as a tool. Responsibility for content and impact lies with our senior experts.

From short conversations with you and more than 100 store projects. We don't need a lengthy briefing. The subject-matter direction comes from you, the search- and sales-psychology-driven presentation from us.

How we build the knowledge for your copy:

  • Short exchange instead of workshops:

    • We clarify key messages, target groups and special features in short conversations, without holding up your team with questionnaires.

  • Real customer signals:

    • We analyze service requests, reviews and the search terms in your store search. That tells us what your customers really ask before buying.

  • Our own research:

    • We research specifications, use cases and the market environment ourselves, whether technical B2B components or consumer goods that need explaining.

Copy with real product understanding, with hardly any effort on your side, that you usually only need to approve.

No. If a text doesn't yet fit in tone or content, you mark the passages and our editorial team rewrites them. To keep this rare, we clarify your brand voice, preferred and forbidden terms and your subject-matter priorities in the kickoff call.

So you don't have to step in yourself:

  • Corrections included until it's right:

    • A short comment is enough, and we refine the text for as long as it takes to get it right.

  • A dedicated editor:

    • Your store has a fixed contact in the editorial team. With every text, they know your range better, and comments become rarer.

  • Publishing on request:

    • After your approval, our team enters the copy, properly formatted, into Shopware or Shopify, with meta data, headings and links.

You keep full control through short approvals, but don't have to write or rework a single paragraph yourself.

That depends on the package and type of copy, because we plan by impact, not by quantity. A core category with a selection guide and FAQ takes far more time than a small subcategory. We invest the time where it has the greatest influence on revenue and visibility.

How copy volume is managed:

  • By lever, not by quota:

    • In some months we build out two or three main categories, in others five to ten compact texts for subcategories are created.

  • Transparent to the minute:

    • Research, writing and publishing are recorded to the minute and documented in the monthly activity report.

  • Fixed quantities for content packages:

    • If you book an individual package, the number and scope of texts are bindingly defined before we start.

Your budget goes into the pages that make a difference, not into filler copy.

Reworked pages that already rank often respond within a few weeks. New pages usually need two to six months. That's why we usually start with existing pages, where the fastest commercial lever lies.

How we make the impact visible:

  • Baseline before every change:

    • We record clicks, impressions, rankings and conversions before we adjust a page.

  • Existing pages first:

    • Pages that already have Google's trust benefit fastest when gaps are closed and structures sharpened.

  • Monthly report per page:

    • You see the development of each reworked page individually and can precisely assess what the copy achieves.

Reliable performance tracking instead of promises, with before-and-after documentation for every text.

No. We focus on categories, buying guides and service content, because that's where customers compare and make their purchase decision. On the product page, body copy is rarely the lever; clean product data is. More on our page about product data and PIM.

Why we prioritize categories and data:

  • That's where the decision is made:

    • Customers search for categories, use cases and solutions. A category page with a selection guide and FAQ leads them to the right product.

  • Facts instead of prose:

    • On the product page, customers scan dimensions, material, compatibility and delivery time. Long descriptions are hardly read.

  • Data for AI systems:

    • AI assistants only recommend products with consistent, structured information. That comes from product data management, not from body copy.

Editorial time where it moves purchase decisions, and product pages that convince with clean data.

Not necessarily. Many store blogs bring visitors but no buyers, because the path to the product is missing. We decide which format fits based on your range and how your customers search.

Which format fits your store:

  • Advice directly in the category:

    • If customers already know what they're looking for, such as “waterproof women's hiking boots”, the advice belongs on the category page: selection guide, fit notes and FAQ.

  • Guide pages:

    • For products that need explaining, such as “planning a solar system for a flat roof”, guides that link specifically into your range work well.

  • A dedicated magazine:

    • A magazine pays off if you regularly want to show application examples or expertise that doesn't fit into any category.

Advice and expert content exactly where it drives revenue, instead of articles nobody maintains.

Yes. Your store agency stays on board; there's no need to switch. For more than 15 years, we have been working in partnership with external service providers and in-house development teams. Your agency keeps full control over the code.

How working with your agency works:

  • Ready-to-implement tickets:

    • Instead of vague recommendations, your agency receives target URLs, template placement specifications, code for structured data and notes on internal linking.

  • Support, not competition:

    • We deliver the content and SEO foundation; your agency implements it in its usual environment.

  • Direct implementation when capacity is tight:

    • If your agency is fully booked, our own developers implement the changes, test them and put them live.

No. Every text is written for search engines and AI assistants at the same time from the start. GEO is not an add-on with us, but part of every text, at no extra charge.

Why GEO is standard with us:

  • Clear, citable statements:

    • We phrase key statements, product benefits and specifications so that ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews can capture and cite them directly.

  • The same criteria as for Google:

    • What makes a text helpful for Google, experience, expertise and verifiable facts (E-E-A-T), also makes it a source for AI systems.

  • Structured data included:

    • Marking up FAQ and definition blocks with Schema.org is part of our regular craft.

One text, two channels: visible in Google rankings and citable in AI search.

Yes, regularly, with contacts at arboro Schweiz GmbH. Swiss buyers expect their own tone. Only then does copy come across as trustworthy and get recognized as a suitable source on google.ch and in AI answers.

What we pay attention to in Swiss copy:

  • Spelling and terminology:

    • Consistently “ss” instead of “ß” and local terms such as “Offerte”, “Velo” or “parkieren”.

  • Market and buying habits:

    • Prices in CHF, notes on delivery and customs, Swiss payment methods and a factual, understated tone.

  • Clean country versions:

    • We separate German, Austrian and Swiss versions technically so that Google assigns each version to the right country.

Copy written for Swiss customers, not just translated.

For email campaigns, there's our newsletter marketing. We deliberately don't offer social media copy. We focus on channels that measurably drive revenue. With a newsletter, you reach your existing customers directly, with your own customer data and without paying for every click.

How we connect newsletters and content:

  • Email sequences for your store:

    • We plan, write and automate welcome series, abandoned-cart flows and regular campaign newsletters.

  • Using content twice:

    • We prepare new guides and category texts for your subscribers so they lead from the inbox straight into your store.

  • No social media:

    • Social media management is not part of our offering. Our capacity goes into content, technical SEO, GEO and email marketing.

Clear specialization in channels that activate your existing customers and measurably sell.

Words with roots

Which of your customers' questions goes unanswered today?

If you've done the three tests above, you may already know the answer. In a free initial call, we look at it together and tell you openly where we would start: with a single content package or by taking responsibility for SEO, GEO and content for your store. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you that too.

What happens in the initial call
We talk about your store, your most important categories and possible obstacles to purchase. You get an initial assessment of where content pays off commercially for you. No preparation, no obligation.
  • Non-binding
  • Directly with the managing director
  • An honest assessment, even if it speaks against working together
